The morning of Thursday, January 7th, 2021, 29-year-old Jennifer Garza and 30-year-old Joe Garza Jr. were killed in a car crash. Their family is asking for donations to help pay for their funerals. The crash happened in the 4600 block of 4th Street at around 1:15 a.m. in the morning. It s said the GMC Yukon, driven by 27-year-old Brittany Gonzales, was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway, struck a tree, rolling and came to a rest. Jennifer and Joe were pronounced dead at the scene, but Gonzales was taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries. It s said on the GoFundMe page that the three of them were celebrating Jennifer s 29th birthday.

Passengers Jennifer Garza, 29, and Joe Garza Jr., 30, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash about 1:15 a.m. in the 4600 block of 4th Street, according to Lubbock police. Investigators believe 27-year-old Brittany Gonzales was driving a GMC Yukon eastbound in the 4600 block of 4th Street when the vehicle left the roadway, striking a tree on the south side of the road. The SUV rolled, coming to rest on the left side of the vehicle. The Garzas, the only two passengers, were pronounced deceased on scene.
