Two area men are accused of robbing money from a city of Oneida residence, police said.
Police responded Monday to a burglary in process call on Lenox Avenue, where an investigation revealed that two men one of whom was uninvited entered the residence, police said.
That man grabbed a bag containing money and attempted to flee the residence, but occupants at the home were able to stop and hold him until police arrived the other suspect escaped, officials said.
The suspect who residents held at the scene was Steven White, 35, of Utica, police said.
He was taken into custody and charged with felony second-degree robbery and two misdemeanor charges second-degree criminal trespass and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
Police: Driver in fatal Oneida crash was drunk, charged with manslaughter

Oneida, N.Y. A Madison County man was charged with manslaughter and other charges after police said he was driving drunk during an April 2020 crash that killed a woman.
Oneida police said Allen E. Milliman, 28, of Lincoln, was driving drunk during the crash, which happened on April 12 around 1:21 a.m. on Forest Avenue in the city of Oneida.
A passenger, 33-year-old Samantha Partridge, was killed in the one-vehicle crash, Oneida Police Chief John Little said.
After a lengthy investigation, Milliman was arrested on Jan. 20 and charged with second-degree manslaughter, two counts of second-degree vehicular manslaughter, criminal negligent homicide, driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, reckless driving and speeding.
