Two area men are accused of robbing money from a city of Oneida residence, police said.
Police responded Monday to a burglary in process call on Lenox Avenue, where an investigation revealed that two men — one of whom was uninvited — entered the residence, police said.
That man grabbed a bag containing money and attempted to flee the residence, but occupants at the home were able to stop and hold him until police arrived — the other suspect escaped, officials said.
The suspect who residents held at the scene was Steven White, 35, of Utica, police said.
He was taken into custody and charged with felony second-degree robbery and two misdemeanor charges — second-degree criminal trespass and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
