Spring is here and hope beckons. Maybe soon, maybe even now, we can begin to chip our way out of the shells we’ve been in since the beginning of the pandemic. Was it just a year ago? Seems like a generation, but all that time spent in our bubbles will just make it that much sweeter when we re-encounter and re-embrace the wondrous attractions of the Granite State.
Built: 1996
Features: Surrounded by executive colonials, this North Hampton residence is nestled in The Boulders neighborhood. Enter through stately 2-story foyer. To the right, we find a private dining room for intimate evenings, and left we find the living room with a fireplace. Beyond we find a spacious eat-in kitchen that provides access to the pool area and also opens to a generously sized great room with a stone fireplace. Moving past the great room, we encounter a private library suited for working at home. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, the light-strewn four-season sunroom can be accessed from both the library and living room. Two half baths and a custom mudroom complete the first floor. Upstairs we encounter two en suite bedrooms. The primary bedroom features a stunning custom walk-in closet, soaking tub, and dual head walk-in shower. Victoria Austin and her husband Brent were on their screened-in porch, having a nightmare conversation. Their son, Clyde, died unexpectedly at home at just 16 months. Because of the pandemic, they couldn’t talk about arrangements in the warmth of their Derry home, so to keep everyone safe they were meeting with a funeral home director in the cool October breeze.
