After CBSE, Odisha Board releases evaluation process for class 10 result 2021 Odisha board has asked all the schools to upload marks of class 9 and class 10 students. File photo Updated: May 8, 2021, 12:00 PM IST Amid the rise in Covid-19 cases in India, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha Matric Exam 2021 has been cancelled. The board has released the marking criteria for Class 10 result 2021. The result will be based on the internal marks obtained during class 9 and class 10. The Odisha Board class 10 exams were scheduled to be conducted from May 3 to May 15.   Odisha board has asked all the schools to upload marks of class 9 and class 10 students. The school-wise merit list will be prepared after giving weightage to marks secured. The performance of the school in the past four years will also be considered while preparing for the BSE Odisha Matric Exam 2021.

Keeping in view the spike in COVID-19 cases, the state government had earlier postponed Class 10, 12 and all undergraduate and postgraduate examinations in the state, but as per the latest updates, the Board has now finally cancelled the Odisha Class 10th exam 2021. Yesterday, a large number of students staged a protest in front of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik s residence seeking cancellation of the annual matriculation (class 10) examination conducted by the Odisha board. According to a source, the gas leakage has claimed four lives so far while several others are in critical condition and undergoing treatment at the RSP-owned Ispat General Hospital (IGH). The four deceased were identified as Ganesh Pailo, Abhimanyu Saha, Babu Panda and Rabi Sahu of a construction company. The workers who were engaged in maintenance work at the RSP suffered from Carbon Monoxide gas leak on its premises. Notably, six more intoxicated workers fell sick in the RSP campus and have been kept under ventilator support. Reason behind the gas leak mishap has not yet been ascertained and the number of affected workers is still to be confirmed.
