(FOX 2) - A woman is accused of stabbing her grandfather multiple times while he was sleeping after he let her stay at his Pontiac apartment. Authorities said they were called to Phoenix Place Apartments just after midnight Sunday because a woman who was bleeding and carrying a knife said someone tried to kill her. When Oakland County sheriff s deputies arrived at 47251 Woodward Avenue, they found a 27-year-old woman in the lobby. She did not have a knife, but she said she stabbed a man in an apartment because he attempted to kill her.

Woman arrested for attempted murder of her grandfather in Pontiac View Comments A woman is in police custody for she told police she stabbed her grandfather multiple times because he was trying to kill her, the Oakland County Sheriff s Office said.  Officers responded to the Phoenix Place Apartments on Woodward in Pontiac around 12:08 a.m. Sunday for a report of a woman who was bleeding and carrying around a knife.  When deputies arrived at the apartment, the 27-year-old woman told them she had stabbed a man in an upstairs apartment because he had attempted to kill her, officials said.  Officers found a 75-year-old man in the apartment lying on the floor with multiple stab wounds to his head, face, arms, tongue, cheek and chest, police said.

Detroit Free Press The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday it had charged two white men and a white woman with ethnic intimidation after the group allegedly broke into the home of a Black family and one defendant used a racial epithet during the break-in. During the incident, which occurred early Monday, the defendants threatened to kill the occupants, including two children, said a news release from the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office. Michael Graves, 47, and Branden Odegaard, 37, were each charged with one count of 1st-degree home invasion, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000; as well as one count of ethnic intimidation, a felony punishable by a prison term of up to two years and a fine of up to $5,000, the release said. Maci Pietryga, 26, is charged with aiding and abetting 1st-degree home invasion, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000, as well as one count of ethnic intimidation.
