Two doctors who work at the Veterans Affairs clinic in Monroe are accused of writing each other prescriptions for controlled dangerous substances
Dr. Cynthia Brown Manning, 51, of Monroe and Dr. Barbara Beard, 59, of Mangham, were arrested earlier this week and have already bonded out of Ouachita Correctional Center.
Manning was charged with seven counts of prohibited acts (all schedules), seven counts of prohibited acts Schedule II penalties, and one count of possession of Tramadol, a Schedule IV CDS. Total bail was set at $30,000.
Beard was charged with with eight counts of prohibited acts (all schedules), seven counts of possession of a Schedule II CDS (Hydrocodone). Total bail was set at $20,000.
SEPTEMBER 8 Meet John Hudson.
Two days after celebrating his 18th birthday, the Louisiana man was arrested last Thursday night on obscenity and trespassing charges. Hudson was nabbed at the Hixson Autoplex in Monroe, where cops discovered him wearing women s lingerie and fishnet stockings.
Hudson explained that he was masturbating in the parking lot and that he had a fetish. A further description of that fetish is not contained in a Monroe Police Department report.
However, the document does note that Officer Rodrick Candley observed pornographic magazines, women s clothing, lotion, and a pink dildo with pubic hairs on it between two cars on the Hixson lot. Hudson, pictured in the mug shots at left, was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center. He was released after spending about five hours in custody. (2 pages)

A West Monroe teenager faces a felony count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Both Ethan Jacquintas Taylor, 19, and his sex partner told police that she told him she was 17.
Around 4:30 a.m. Monday, West Monroe Police were called to the 200 block of Ludwig Avenue in reference to a disturbance.
At the scene, a woman told the officer that Taylor had just had sex with her 15-year-old daughter.
He was found at his home. According to the arrest report, Taylor had a violent demeanor and was quickly placed in handcuffs and advised of his Miranda rights.
