Two men have been arrested in connection with the January shooting death of an Opelousas man
Guidry was shot multiple times.
After several months, investigators say they identified 24-year-old Marcus Chenier of Opelousas and 23-year-old Jevon Figaro of Lafayette as suspects in the shooting.
The case is still under investigation and more arrest may be forthcoming, they say.
Chenier was apprehended in Las Vegas, NV. with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals. Figaro turned himself to authorities.
Figaro was booked on April 7, 2021 while Chenier was transported back from Nevada and booked on April 8, 2021.

Opelousas Police have arrested a man wanted for attempted murder.
Desmond Richard, 30, was arrested about 4:20 p.m. on a warrant for attempted-second degree murder. He also was booked with Illegal possession of a Stolen Firearm, Felon in possession of a firearm, No Driverâs License and No proof of liability insurance.
Police were acting on info probided by an off-duty St. Landry Sheriff s deputy. Using the vehicle description supplied by the off duty deputy, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by Richard on Railroad Ave. Upon taking Mr. Richard into custody he was found to be in possession of a stolen handgun. Mr. Richard was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail.
St. Landry Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested
An alert off-duty sheriff s deputy is credited with helping Opelousas police catch an attempted murder suspect.
Desmond Richard was arrested over the weekend on attempted second-degree murder and gun charges. As of Monday, he remains in jail.
Police Chief Martin McLendon says the off-duty deputy spotted Richard and called police to tell them of Richard s location. Police found the car Richard was driving, pulled him over, and arrested him. Police say they found a stolen gun in Richard s possession while executing the arrest.

A Franklin man was arrested on outstanding warrants and is now facing additional charges after being arrested Saturday while working as armed security in Opelousas.
According to police, officers received information that 27-year-old Tyland Nerve was possibly in the Opelousas area working as an armed security officer. Police also reported that they believed Nerve was identifying himself as an Opelousas Police reserve officer.
Saturday, an OPD officer working off-duty security detail at the Yambilee Building in Opelousas observed Nerve at an event working security while armed with a handgun and wearing body armor, police say.
