On April 27, 2021, President Biden issued Executive Order 14026 requiring contractors to pay a minimum wage of $15.00 per hour beginning January 30, 2022, on contracts entered into, contracts renewed or extended, and options exercised on or after January 30, 2022.
The new Executive Order is patterned on a February 12, 2014, Executive Order issued by President Obama which affected the same group of workers, and increased the then minimum wage for federal contract employees to $10.10 (a redline is here). Implementing Regulations are due by November 24, 2021.

Administration s (GSA) rejection of a late-submitted
proposal.
The request for proposals (RFP) required that offers be
submitted by October 13, 2020, via the agency s online proposal
submission portal, GSA ASSIST. The RFP warned that
proposals received after the closing data and time would not be
considered.
The protester had trouble with the online portal it
uploaded materials but was unable to click submit so it
emailed the proposal to the contracting officer instead.
Even though the protester had uploaded proposal materials prior
to the deadline, GAO noted that the protester maintained the

During this Covid-19 pandemic the government has set up Pusat Mediasi Covid-19 (“PMC-19) to deal with any contractual disputes as a result of the lockdown under the Prevention of disease Act. The PMC-19 offers free mediation to members of the public. Their mediation services can be accessed online via the following link.
Many people still do not know what is mediation and therefore do not know how to take advantage of this offer by the government. I will attempt to explain this process in layman terms.
Mediation is a process which is very different from the court process that we know. A mediator must complete a 40 hours course and pass the assessment before he or she can act as a mediator.
