FAIRFAX, Va., April 12, 2021 /PRNewswire/ ICF (NASDAQ:ICFI), a global consulting and digital services provider, was recently awarded two agreements with an estimated value of $16 million to provide IT and cybersecurity workforce development services under the U.S. Department of Labor s H-1B One Workforce Grant Program. This program invests in training the current and future workforce for careers in critical industries such as IT, advanced manufacturing and transportation.
The first agreement is a four-year grant valued at $8.6 million. ICF will lead the development and implementation of a new program to provide dynamic workforce strategies to train workers and jobseekers for middle- to high-skilled occupations in IT and cybersecurity throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The Delaware Department of Labor has received a nearly $9.2 million H1B One Workforce Grant in meeting demand for information technology positions. The grant came from the U.S. Department of Labor.
According to available information from August 2019 and July 2020, Delaware saw a monthly average of more than 4,000 job postings for IT opportunities with over 450 hires per month in IT.
The One Workforce Grant will provide training for 700 people interested in obtaining a skill and earn credentials to prepare them to enter mid to high-level occupations in the IT field.
Tech Impact and Delaware State University partnered with the Labor Department in securing the grant.

WORCESTER Clark University will be teaming with a local college, the city, and the regional chamber of commerce to spend a $10 million federal grant on job training programs.
Clark, which was one of two Massachusetts recipients of a U.S. Department of Labor H-1B One Workforce Grant announced this week, is the only educational institution in the Northeast to receive an award from the agency’s $145 million pool, according to the school.
Clark’s School of Professional Studies will use the university’s share of the funding to establish the “TechBoost Program,” which will allow 800 unemployed and underemployed workers to train for jobs in the information technology sector.
