New Delhi: 24 hours after the mayhem that the national capital witnessed in the garb of a peaceful tractor parade, the Indian National Congress came up with a press briefing to condemn the violence but held the Home Minister squarely responsible for law and order failure yesterday.
Congress’ communication department Chief, Randeep Singh Surjewala, trained his guns directly at the Government, saying that there was a concerted effort to dilute the farmer’s agitation by maligning and defaming them. Surjewala called Amit Shah the weakest Home Minister and sought his resignation for failing to contain the violence and lack of intelligence on criminal elements who infiltrated into the protest.
