WATCH: San Angelo Police Surround Home Late Thursday Night   SAN ANGELO, TX –– Just before 11:00 p.m. San Angelo Police officers were dispatched to the intersection of Cedar Creek Dr. and Oak Creek for reports of a possible shooting victim. While officials have not confirmed if anyone was injured, a heavy police presence was observed at a home in the 3600 block of Cedar Creek Dr. Scanner reports indicated multiple officers responded to the scene as they attempted to contact someone inside the home. Reporters at the scene were asked to stay back as officers surrounded the home. SAPD blocked off multiple surrounding streets as they investigated the scene.

Teen accused of shooting at Lubbock police charged in unrelated killing

On July 5, police arrested 31-yeare-old Cody Jay Salazar in Ballinger.  Information on what led to the shooting and how both men were identified as suspects was not immediately available.  Garcia has been held at the Lubbock County Detention Center since Thursday after surrendering to police on an unrelated case, in which he is accused of shooting at a Lubbock police officer s patrol vehicle during a Jan. 18 vehicle chase. The chase began in the 4700 block of 45th Street, where police initially responded to a vehicle burglary call.   Investigators believe Garcia was a passenger in a vehicle that matched the description of the one used by the vehicle burglars, according to police.

San Angelo Police Provide an Update to Northside Shooting   SAN ANGELO, TX- San Angelo Police have an update on the homicide investigation from 2401 N Lillie on May 26th, 2021. As previously released, San Angelo Police Officers were dispatched to a shooting victim in the 2400 Block of N Lille St on May 26, 2021 at 3:24 a.m. The shooting victim was pronounced deceased and an autopsy was ordered. The deceased has been identified as Jacob Hernandez, 29 years old, a resident of San Angelo. Investigation has revealed that suspect(s) entered the victim’s residence and shot the victim with a handgun. The suspect, or suspects, then fled in an unknown direction.

San Angelo Man Indicted for Assaulting a Pregnant Woman   SAN ANGELO,TX- Cody Calvin Adams has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in March 2021 for assaulting a pregnant woman. San Angelo police were dispatched to the Walgreen’s Pharmacy and met with the pregnant woman who claimed the night before they had been assaulted. Adams threw the victim on the bed and placed his hands around their neck and started to choke her. After the assault, Adams threw the victim’s phone and did not allow her to call the police. The victim was able to get Adams to drive them both to Walgreen’s and Adams started making suicidal statements. At the pharmacy, the victim had a friend call 911.
