The Angelo State women’s soccer team completed an undefeated season, which culminated with a close 1-0 victory over the Dallas Baptist Patriots in the Lone Star Conference Spring Championship.
Despite their perfect record, the Belles were considered the underdog, as DBU came into this game as the No. 1 ranked team and opened the game showing why they are ranked so high. In the first twenty minutes of the game, DBU consistently made attacking moves into the Belles final third, but were unable to make any meaningful attempts at goal. The game would remain in a tense deadlock until the 61st minute, when goalkeeper Kira Miller got called into action and made a great save. Every team in last week s Power 10 for DII softball made it into this edition. But there was still considerable movement, including one school that rose three spots.
As a reminder, these are my rankings, and mine alone. I take various factors into account, including: overall record, record against ranked teams, NFCA rankings, winning streaks, losing streaks, head-to-head matchups and team statistics.
Here they are, with each team s ranking in the previous Power 10 in parentheses.
1. (1) Augustana (SD) (27-3)
The Vikings went 6-0 last week and outscored their opponents 51-7. Some teams have good pitching, others have good hitting. Augustana (SD) has both. Opposing batters are averaging just .218 at the plate against this club, while the Vikings are hitting .330. They ve also won 13 straight games and remain atop the Power 10.

The Student Government Association Student Body Presidents are responsible for hearing the concerns of the students and look for ways to improve their lives and college experience. With COVID-19 still affecting students, the Student Regent, four student body presidents and their Student Senates will come together on April 15 for Joint Congress.
The legislation that is being brought to the floor during Joint Congress is based on the needs the SGAâs presidents see that will help benefit the system as well as what they have experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic on their respective campuses.
