The Angelo State women’s soccer team completed an undefeated season, which culminated with a close 1-0 victory over the Dallas Baptist Patriots in the Lone Star Conference Spring Championship.
Despite their perfect record, the Belles were considered the underdog, as DBU came into this game as the No. 1 ranked team and opened the game showing why they are ranked so high. In the first twenty minutes of the game, DBU consistently made attacking moves into the Belles final third, but were unable to make any meaningful attempts at goal. The game would remain in a tense deadlock until the 61st minute, when goalkeeper Kira Miller got called into action and made a great save.
