Raleigh, North Carolina (WRAL) A 23-year-old UPS employee was shot and killed in the 600 block of South East Street Wednesday afternoon.
Dylan Scott Wall was shot and taken to a hospital for treatment, police said, but died as a result of his injuries.
Police have arrested Stephen Joseph Bynem, 30, and charged him with murder in connection with Wall’s death. Bynem has been transported to the Wake County Detention Center.
A witness told WRAL News that they saw packages and a UPS employee on the ground.
Just before 3 p.m., SWAT officers assembled near a UPS truck and then entered a white home.

GARNER, N.C. (WTVD) Garner police have charged a Raleigh man with murder after a 1-year-old boy died earlier this week.
Authorities said William Earl Harris III, 29, of Raleigh was charged with murder in connection with the child s death.
On Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, police responded to an apartment at 704 Buck Branch Drive following a 911 call saying a 1-year-old child was unresponsive.
Emergency responders provided life-saving measures and took the child to WakeMed where he was pronounced dead. Due to evidence, the death was ruled a homicide.

Police said Harris is the boyfriend of the child s mother. Harris was taken into custody in Raleigh late Saturday.
WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WTVD) A former Wake County deputy involved in a four-hour long standoff with sheriff s deputies on Wednesday night has been arrested in a Wake Forest neighborhood.
Wake County deputies responded to the 11000 block of Jeffrey s Lane around 5 p.m. to serve a warrant and a restraining order after Brad Woodlief allegedly assaulted his wife earlier in the week.
The Wake County Sheriff s Office (WCSO) said Woodlief previously served as a Wake County deputy under a previous administration.
When deputies attempted to contact Woodlief by phone, he made threats against deputies. Deputies determined that he was armed.
RALEIGH, N.C. Raleigh homicide detectives have made an arrest after a woman was shot and killed in Raleigh earlier this week.
Police said Andrea Elizabeth Lucas, 56, was found suffering from gunshot wounds Wednesday night in the 4700 block of Mallory Court. Lucas was taken to WakeMed but died from her injuries.
