It s difficult for his widow, Jocelyn, but it s even harder for Wall s 5-year-old son, Aiden. He s just having a hard time; he grieves differently from the rest of us, she said Monday. They told us to be honest with Aiden: to tell him what happened, obviously be gentle about it and not what happened.
The couple met in August 2019 and married just a few months after that.
“He was the light of my life. It’s hard living in a world where he was taken away from my son in such a way.”

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) Dylan Wall began most workdays at the UPS hub on Atlantic Avenue in Raleigh. His truck was loaded before he heads out on his route through downtown. Wall did all that on Wednesday. But, he never returned. Now, his family and friends in mourning. Why it happened; how it happened; and to him specifically. The shooting happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 600 block of S. East Street near East Lenoir Street.
On arrival, officers found the 23-year-old UPS employee suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to WakeMed hospital where he later died.
Bynem is being held at the Wake County Detention Center without bond in relation to Wall s murder. He is scheduled to be back in court next month.
