Nueces County reports 310 new COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths on Jan. 14
There have been 32,364 total coronavirus cases reported in Nueces County, with 3,141 active cases.
Nine of the new cases were reported by the state. The state has reported 5,232 of the county s total cases.
Of the new cases, 81 were confirmed, 209 were probable and 20 were suspected positives. There have been 22,895 confirmed, 8,455 probable and 1,014 suspected cases total.
Nueces County reported three men and two women in their 70s and 80s died from the virus on Thursday. They had diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. There have been 600 COVID-19-related deaths in Nueces County since March.
There were 184 patients in the hospital on Thursday, with 51 in the ICU. There have been 4,870 hospitalizations total and 28,623 recoveries.

Three men in their 40s, 50s and 70s died from the virus on Friday. They had coronary artery disease, diabetes, and hypertension, a news release said.
There have been 510 COVID-19-related deaths in Nueces County since March.
There were 117 patients in the hospital on Friday, with 38 in the ICU. There have been 3,935 hospitalizations total and 23,342 recoveries.
