The Venetian and Palazzo Reveal Their Renovated Pools Overlooking the Las Vegas Strip
The 11 pools at the Venetian and Palazzo feature new cabanas, a splash pad for kids, a new restaurant, and cocktail carts

The Venetian renovated its five-acre pool deck for the 2021 season with new cabanas with some private plunge pools, a new restaurant from 50 Eggs, and a revamped cocktail program from New York City’s barman Sam Ross, who created the drinks at The Dorsey, Rosina, and Electra Cocktail Club at the resort.
The pools that span the length of the Venetian and Palazzo now include hints of the Italian Riviera in its design, with Italian art and architecture peppered throughout. Also new, daybeds and chaise lounges within the pools and 10 new cabanas.

l Vegas nightclubs have been closed for a year now because of the pandemic, right?
Wrong. While the state’s COVID restrictions mandate that nightclubs stay closed, a handful of venues have been able to reopen and serve guests safely by changing the way they operate. Packed dancefloors and general admission are not allowed, so reservations are required, and clubs have pivoted into lounge-style experiences in order to meet social distancing and other guidelines.
The most significant recent reopening is Omnia at Caesars Palace (702-785-6200), which returns to business at its outdoor terrace space only on March 5. It will be open Friday and Saturday starting at 10:30 p.m., offering a touchless menu system via scannable QR codes and separate VIP sections along with those familiar views of the Strip. Drink in the spirit of the season with new holiday-themed cocktails at The Dorsey at The Venetian and Electra Cocktail Club at The Palazzo. All four signature cocktails will be available at both lounges through Dec. 31.
Start with the Roman Holiday, mixed with Michter’s Straight Rye whiskey, Zirbenz Stone Pine liqueur, Petite Canne sugar cane syrup, Angostura bitters and a garnish of lemon twist and rosemary sprig. For gin and negroni lovers, try this twist on the classic, the Alpine Negroni. This bold-yet-smooth-tasting cocktail is a mix of Fords gin, Suze aperitif, Saler’s aperitif, Cocchi Americano aperitif, Génépy liqueur, crème de menthe and a pinch of salt. And for a hint of the familiar Old-Fashioned cocktail, try the Lion’s Tale Fix, a blend of Woodford Reserve bourbon whiskey, fresh lime, simple syrup, allspice dram and Angostura bitters that’s then poured over a heaping mound of crushed ice and garnishe
