Charge acquitted, another dismissed in Newark aggravated robbery case
NEWARK - A Newark woman was acquitted of one charge and another was dismissed during a jury trial last week.
According to Licking County court records, a single felonious assault charge was dismissed by the state against 46-year-old Samantha Criswell on Tuesday. Court records show Criswell was found not guilty of an aggravated robbery charge after Judge David Branstool granted her attorney s motion for acquittal on the charge.
Court records show Criswell, who lived and attended college in Marion, was found guilty of a misdemeanor falsification charge and sentenced to 13 days in the Licking County Justice Center. Branstool granted Criswell 13 days for time served in jail.
