Half of all restaurants could close for good if Ottawa ends a few subsidy programs too soon.
That’s according to Restaurants Canada.
Both the Emergency Wage and Rent subsidy funds are slated to run until September 25th.

“A lot of our restaurants are still going to need that help if the public wants to see their favourite places stick around well after we are going back to normal and the federal government is probably going to have to help a lot of the little guys.”
