Navi Mumbai: Man held with 2 kg marijuana worth Rs 36,000 at Rabale
The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Navi Mumbai Police arrested a 25-year-old man with 2 kg marijuana in the early hours of Friday. The value of marijuana would be around Rs 36,000.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the accused Sanjayâs Kambleâs house at Annabhau Sathe Nagar in Rabale MIDC and seized marijuana.
Jayraj Chaparya, senior inspector of the cell said, âWe had received information that a man from that area had kept a huge amount of marijuana in his house. We immediately reached that place and raided the accusedâs house. We found marijuana in a bag inside his house and then arrested him.â

Mumbai reported 921 coronavirus cases and six deaths on Sunday. The number of positive cases in the city has now reached 3,19,128, while the death toll has mounted to 11,446.Apart from Mumbai city, other townships in the Mumbai division also witnessed a surge in cases, including in Thane city, Navi Mumbai and Kalyan-Dombivli. There were 1,678 new cases in the division.Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has said that if people want to avoid a lockdown, they must wear masks, and their behaviour will be monitored for the next eight days.The Mumbai Police have also started challaning people not wearing masks in public places, in the wake of COVID-19 cases rising in the city.Meanwhile, after a spike of 12 consecutive days, petrol and diesel prices in Mumbai remain unchanged on Sunday.
