Newark: Cherubs Edwinstowe celebrate Indian kite-flying festival

A nursery has celebrated a kite-flying festival by hosting a competition,
writes Ellie Danemann.
Cherubs Edwinstowe decided to take part in the Indian festival in an attempt to combat the January blues.
The nursery asked parents and carers to make a kite with their child at home for the competition.

Sarah Hickling, nursery manager, said: âWe had so much fun trying to fly them in the wind and there was laughter and smiles all around.
âWe are focusing on our childrenâs mental health and lifting all their spirits in these testing times.
