Latest Newark and Sherwood District Council planning applications released

The latest planning applications submitted to Newark and Sherwood District Council have been released.
This week s plans include several home extensions and conversions.
All applications below.
Averham: Dwelling, at Pinfold Lane, by Lorraine Bailey.
Balderton: Demolition of conservatory and garage, and erection of new side and rear extensions to form garden room and bedrooms, at 41 Queen Street, by John Shepherd.
Besthorpe: Replace several sections of low voltage overhead line, and replace conductor with an aerial-bunded conducter, at Low Road, by Sean Ingram.
Bilsthorpe: Workshop, at 39 Eakring Road, by Mark Massetti.
Investigation begins after Mansfield GP surgery broken into and set on fire

A joint investigation has been launched after a GP surgery was broken into and set on fire during an early morning incident.
Roundwood Surgery, on Wood Street in Mansfield, was targeted in the attack in the early hours of Tuesday, February 2, with the road currently blocked by emergency services.
The surgery notified patients in a post on its Facebook page, saying it would contact them in the event of a missed appointment and urging them please do not turn up .

Flooding across large parts of Nottinghamshire caused problems for travel and businesses

Some bus services are diverting due to flooding in parts of the county.
Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has reported that the Sky Blue services (46 and 47) are diverting due to flooding in Woodborough.
Stops between Travellers Rest pub, through Woodborough to The Lambley pub in Lambley cannot be served in either direction.
The South Notts 1 and Navy 49 services are also diverting due to flooding at Standford on Soar and Queens Drive Park and Ride.
NCT tweeted: South Notts 1 continues to divert via Hoton and Cotes because of flooding at Stanford on Soar and Navy 49 is not serving Queens Drive Park & Ride Site due to flooding.

As of Thursday afternoon, the Environment Agency has issued 182 flood alerts for some areas, meaning people should prepare for possible flooding.
The Environment Agency has also issued 40 flood warnings across England.
Flood warnings mean flooding is expected, and immediate action is required.
