Head-on crash in Henry County causes one death, 4 injuries

April 12, 2021 HENRY COUNTY, Va. – One person died in a two-car crash in Henry County on Sunday. Virginia State Police say 35-year-old Joshua Lee Williams of Martinsville died at the scene of the wreck, which happened at 3:25 p.m. on Route 220. Investigators say a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe was headed south on Route 220 when the driver lost control, crossed a median, and struck a 1998 Toyota Tacoma, head-on Williams, who was driving the Tacoma, was killed on impact. He was wearing his seat belt. Officials say the driver of the Tahoe, Edward Stevens, was taken to the hospital and treated for undisclosed injuries. Police say his three passengers were also taken to hospital with injuries.
