The Canadian Armed Forces have charged a member with negligence after the death of an army reservist at CFB Wainwright.
According to the Canadian Press, the military says they’ve charged Corporal Lars Callsen after an investigation into the death of Corporal James Choi, an army reservist from British Columbia who was killed during a training exercise in October of 2020.

On Dec. 16, 2020 at approximately 10:00 a.m., Vermilion RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and two highway road workers on Highway 16, west of Mannville.
Two males from Emcon Services were working in the eastbound lane when they were struck and injured by a vehicle travelling eastbound on the highway.

A 58-year-old was transferred via STARS to an Edmonton Hospital and a 50-year-old was transported by ambulance to Vermilion Hospital and then to Edmonton for further care.
