WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two Houston County schools take home top honors in the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Regional Theatre Competition. The event took place on January 30th.
Students at Warner Robins High School won first place for their performance of Roald Dahl’s Matilda, the Musical. This is the school’s fifth consecutive year to be named the Region 1-AAAAA champion. The cast and crew will now move on to compete at the GHSA AAAAA State Theatre Competition on Feb. 13th.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. The Warner Robins Demons have finally done it!
They are the new GHSA 5A title holders after a staggering 62-28 win (yeah, you read that score right) against the Cartersville Hurricanes in Atlanta Wednesday evening.
Wednesday’s title game marked a program record 59th straight game since 2017 and was a perfect closer to a season marked by the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was the team’s fourth consecutive championship appearance, so in addition to being a HUGE accomplishment for the entire team, it’s likely that win is even sweeter for the senior players.

ATLANTA (41NBC/WMGT) – The Warner Robins High School football team beat Cartersville 62-28 at Georgia State’s Center Parc Stadium Wednesday to win the school’s fifth football state title and first since 2004.
The Demons (13-1), playing in their fourth straight title game, piled up 601 yards of offense.
Quarterback Jalen Addie completed 16 of 18 passes for 259 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 109 yards and added three scores on the ground.
Addie was one of three Demons to eclipse the 100-yard mark on the ground. Jahlen Rutherford rushed for 143 yards and a score, while Malcolm Brown rushed for 102 yards and a score.
