SpaceX CEO Elon Musk sat down with Peter Diamandis, founder of the X Prize Foundation, in a video interview on April 22. Musk told Diamandis he believes humanity occupying multiple planets is the future. Though he also acknowledged that a “a bunch of people will probably die” in the beginning of Mars exploration.

Musk noted the journey to Mars is going to be a tough one at the beginning for travelers.
