Chapel Hill Police Investigating Legion Road Shooting The Chapel Hill Police Department is investigating a shooting into a Legion Road building late Sunday night. A release from the police department Monday afternoon said officers responded around 11:41 p.m. to the 1700 block of the street, which is off Ephesus Church Road. The release said no injuries were reported despite shots fired “into an occupied dwelling.” Chapel Hill Police said preliminary information suggests Sunday night’s shooting was not a random act and there does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the community’s safety.
