The Department for Transport has said there is no timeframe for when HS2 will appoint a new chair as the project faces questions about its future phases.
HS2 phase 2b has been given a red ‘unachievable’ rating by the Infrastructure Projects Authority.

The project may need re-scoping and/or its overall viability reassessed.”

Starting out as a quantity surveyor, Loveday says he spent the first 10 years of his career working for Wimpey Homes, Robinson & White and SDC Builders on a diverse range of infrastructure projects across the UK, before moving to the client side to gain experience with firms including BT and Thames Water.
