Amritsar: With a zilch or little progress made by the state Congress government in fulfilling the pre-poll promises and to end the proxy rule of bureaucracy, the Punjab Congress party’s Member Parliaments (MP), Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), and other leaders have opened up their hearts before the party high command to avoid any embarrassment in the ensuing 2022 assembly elections especially in wake of rising voices of discontentment emerging from within the Punjab Congress leadership.

Former J&K legislator Thakur Puran Singh dies after returning from Uttarakhand
Thakur Puran Singh, the former lawmaker and Minister of State in Jammu and Kashmir, died on Thursday in his hometown of Rajouri.
In his mid 70s, Thakur was earlier affiliated with the Congress and later joined the BJP.
He remained Member Legislative Assembly from Darhal assembly segment till 2002 as independent candidate and later joined Congress and was inducted as MoS Forest and Fisheries.
A resident of Badhal in Budhal area of Rajouri’s Kotranka subdivision, Thakur had recently returned from a religious congregation in Uttarakhand and fell ill.

The Institute has made its mark in research, collaboration, and international linkages established over the past 12 years.”
