Lemonade Living has big dreams and with its plan to purchase the Lujan Homestead Cabin this week, many of those dreams are about to come true.
“When Lemonade Living first started, the goal was to build a farm and have an activities program with a long-term goal of a residential campus,” Lemonade Living Founder Melissa Arias said.
The creation of a jobs training program kicked off when Rose Chocolatier, 149 Central Park Square, was donated to Lemonade Living in 2019.

Community Winds Offers Mother’s Day Serenades
LACW News:
Los Alamos Community Winds Mother’s Day Serenades mean music, flowers and chocolates! What better way to celebrate moms and the love they have for the families.
The Los Alamos Community Winds (LACW) is offering Instrumental Mother’s Day Serenades to the community.
Again, partnering with Flowers by Gillian and The Rose Chocolatier, LACW is offering a performance of three musical selections for $42 with the optional add-ons (for $10 each) of a beautifully wrapped long stemmed rose and a gift box of four delicious chocolate truffles.
“Our Valentine’s Day Serenades were extremely successful,” LACW Director Ted Vives said. “We want to thank the citizens of Los Alamos for their support and hope that we can continue to make live music available to the community through events like this.”
Letter To The Editor: A Suggestion For Use Of The CB Fox Building
White Rock
I live in White Rock, but I drove my wife to a hair dressing appointment in Los Alamos. While waiting for her, I tried to shop for her birthday present. Since my go-to store, CB Fox, is no longer in existence, I drove around downtown Los Alamos to see what was available.
I was disturbed and depressed by all of the empty retail space. I thought of picking up a shovel for her at Metzger’s but was afraid that she might use it to bury me after hitting me with it. I finally found a box of chocolates at Rose Chocolatier.
