Guhagar Beach
The sparkling golden sand beach of Guhagar stretches for approximately 5-6 kms from Guhagar to Asgoli and is situated in Ratnagiri district. One can easily spot this beach from the forests of Casuarina, locally called as Suru Tree. The beach endorses serenity with blue sea waves bumping against the seashore, dotted by the mountains in the background to the east.

CHIKKABALLAPURA (KARNATAKA): The state woke up to yet another deadly dynamite blast claiming six lives of those trying to dispose of gelatin sticks fearing police search at a quarry site in Herenagaveli village of Chikkaballapura taluk in the early hours of Tuesday.
The bodies of the deceased are badly mutilated and were found scattered all over the place.
The taluk deputy commissioner R Latha explained that to avoid police search, they attempted to dispose the gelatin sticks during which the blast took place. The quarry was reportedly running illegally and was sealed for a few days as they had failed to follow the mandatory provisions.

The Union Government is considering a proposal to increase the Sikkim Assembly seats from 32 to 40 and the government has sought views and suggestions on the draft plan from various stakeholders.
In a notification, the Home Ministry said the strength of the Sikkim Assembly may be increased from the present 32 seats to 40 following a directive of the Supreme Court.
