Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday announced he would not get himself vaccinated even after the Coronavirus vaccine arrives in India. Speaking to the media at the Samajwadi Party office in Lucknow, Akhilesh said he does not trust the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) vaccine. "This vaccine belongs to people in the BJP. How can I trust this vaccine? When our government comes to power in 2022, everyone will get the corona vaccine free of cost."

A total of 50 journalists were killed worldwide in 2020, according to the second part of the annual round-up of abusive treatment and violence against journalists, published by Reporters Without Borders (RSF).
While the number of journalists killed in countries at war continues to fall, more are being murdered in countries not at war
Many were killed for trying to expose crime and corruption.
The review shows that journalists are increasingly being targeted and killed because of their work. Some 84% of journalists killed this year were deliberately targeted, up from 63% in 2019.
This year s data covers January 1 to December 15.
Journalists publishing investigative stories were particularly vulnerable to attacks.
Railways minister Piyush Goyal
GREATER NOIDA: Does the public services department need to pay lease rent for using forest land in Uttar Pradesh, railways minister Piyush Goyal has asked UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath in a letter on December 19, said officials on Saturday.
The matter pertains to about 12 hectares of forest land in Gulistanpur reserve forest area, which will be used by the ministry of railways to build its flagship programme a dedicated freight corridor of 1.6 km .
The letter was sent so that clarity is sought on the matter before inauguration of the corridor on December 29, said sources in the district administration.

Tricotex 3rd Women’s Football League (WFL) ended at Bir Sherestha Shaheed Sepoy Mostafa Kamal Stadium on Sunday. Country’s top-flight football club Bashundhara Kings claimed the title with all-win-record in their maiden appearance in the seven-team double-leg league while Nasrin Sporting Club ended runners-up and Jamalpur Kacharipara Akadas third.
Kings secured the title with one match to spare crushing Jamalpur Kacharipara XI by 13-1 goals in their 11th league match last Sunday while maintained the all-win-record beating FC Uttar Bongo by 14-1 goals in the 12th and last league match on Wednesday, all at the same venue.
