LUCKNOW: In a sensational breakthrough, sleuths of Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force, from Lucknow nabbed three accused of committing daylight robbery in a Mumbai jewellery showroom on Wednesday morning.
Those arrested were identified as Vinay Kumar, Dinesh Nishad and Shailendra Kumar hailing from different districts in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The trio were arrested from Dewa road in Chinhat.
Cops also recovered two country made pistols and huge cache of jewellery along with Rs 53,000 cash from their possession.
Deputy superintendent of police, STF, Deepak Kumar Singh, who led the operation said that the gang members were planning to loot a jewellery shop in Lucknow but were nabbed.

LUCKNOW: In a major breakthrough, sleuths of Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UPSTF) on Friday safely recovered 21-year-old Gaurav Haldar, who was kidnapped from Gonda on January 19. Haldar was recovered from Greater Noida.
The police have arrested three accused in connection with the crime. The arrested persons have been identified as Dr Abhishek Singh, Nitesh, and Mohit. Role of a lady doctor who honeytrapped Gaurav has also come to the fore.
Additional director general of police, STF, Amitabh Yash who led the probe said that victim Haldar was pursuing Bachelor of Ayurveda Medical & Surgery (BAMS) and was honeytrapped by a lady doctor who was a friend of Abhishek Singh.

New Delhi: In yet another instance of genuine news being termed as âfakeâ by the Central governmentâs fact-check wing, the PIB Fact Check claimed that a genuine recruitment notice issued by the Intelligence Bureau was incorrect â only to delete the tweet after the IB confirmed in writing that it was not false news.
The Publication Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B), in a tweet on December 17, pointed out the incorrect âfact-checkâ done a day earlier by the Ministryâs unit under the Press Information Bureau (PIB) that verifies government-related news.
