Play resumed in the top of the fifth with the scored tied 6-6. After Marshall took the lead in the last of the fifth, Coldwater’s Nate Tappenden belted his second homer in a week to tie the game 7-7. Coldwater’s defense in the bottom half of the seventh forced the game into extra innings as two Marshall runners were thrown at the plate.
