Utah Business The pandemic impacted every department of every company, but none more so than our HR departments. In an instant, they were tasked with helping us transition to a remote workforce while developing the protocols that help keep us safe and healthy in the workplace. Because of this, we are even more excited to honor this year’s class of HR Achievement Award winners. Let’s meet them.

How would you like to see human resources and talent acquisition progress?
It’s time for an unpopular opinion: Those in the [Human Capital] arena need to be more inclusive with those trying to get a foot in the “HC door.” I have seen individuals being pushed out of the “circle” time and time again―if even let in at all. Now is the time for everyone to get over themselves, link arms with young people in their careers, and bring them to the top of the mountain.
Utah Business For my fifth birthday, my grandmother gave me a hardcover book called
The Sea. This single gift determined the direction for the rest of my life.
The images in that book came to life in my mind as I imagined being underwater with them. Some were magical and inviting like the colorful fish, sea stars, and octopus. Some were frightening like the sharks and giant squid. The hours I spent looking at the pictures in that book turned into years of fascination with the underwater world.
One of the pictures showed a scuba diver and I asked my dad what his job was. A marine biologist was the answer, and so that’s when I decided what I would become. That idea became all the more real when “The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau” began to air on television every Sunday afternoon. From then on, whenever adults would ask what I wanted to be when I grew up―I said I wanted to be a marine biologist.
Utah Business Though the first female recession has hit women hard in the labor force, there is no shortage of women breaking barriers and blazing ahead despite difficulty. Help us celebrate the women of Utah who are leading the way in business, law, education, and so much more. These are this year’s 30 Women to Watch honorees.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I love my career, but my family comes first. I think part of my passion in helping other women in business is helping them realize that having a family and having a career are not mutually exclusive.

MORONI, Utah â Video posted to social media shows a large group of people gathered to burn a giant vaccine syringe in Utah.
The video was posted Saturday to the YouTube page of Eric Moutsos, the organizer of Utah Business Revival.
Filmed in Moroni, the video shows a crowd circled around a burning syringe with the words medical tyranny written on its side. How many people really cared about vaccines? Moutsos asks at the beginning of the video. I didn t.
Almost a week later, the video has barely 1,500 views and features more dislikes than likes.
