The senior NYPD official said there were crimes Kranczer allegedly committed until 2003. At that time, there was talk of him surrendering but that never about. The police department began trying to locate Kranczer in Israel but there were no results.

A lot of attention has been directed recently at the “training” American police receive from Israel. It’s extensive and pervasive. The point, however, is not that Israel has made US police more violent. They were violent and repressive a century or more before Israel was even established. It isn’t even that Israel has helped militarize the US police. It has, of course, but in response to fundamental shifts in the American political and economic scene.

(December 21, 2020 / JNS) The Tufts student body passed an anti-Israel referendum last month, announced the student-run Tufts University Elections Commission last week, despite the commission finding violations in the election process.
The anti-Israel resolution, which was introduced by the school chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), rebuked former university police chief Kevin Maguire’s participation in a 2017 program, sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League, in Israel where U.S. law-enforcement officials train with Israeli police forces.
