ILOILO CITY – To make the COVID-19 vaccination rollout more efficient, the Iloilo City government has started bringing it to the barangay (village).
“This initiative seeks to bring vaccines closer to residents and for convenience of senior citizens and persons with comorbidities making it easier, faster and accessible for them,” said Mayor Jerry Treñas.
The city government kicked off with the pilot area of Barangay Calumpang in Molo district Friday, July 9.
Barangay Captain Roberto Niño Jr. said 300 individuals including senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) were vaccinated at the Marian Hall of Miraculous Medal Parish.
