Man, oh man. I live out in the boonies in Hampden, almost out to the Newburgh border. So going out to eat, pandemic aside, has usually meant having to head all the way back in town. It s not a hardship really. When you move into the country, you expect to be making trips in town a lot.
And lord knows, I love to go up to the Tacorita in Orono, or Pepino s in town. So one can easily imagine how excited I was when I heard there was a taco place coming to Newburgh, of all places. So I started digging around online, and found a Facebook page for The Taco Shack.

JStew: As I sit and type this, I still have no idea what it specifically is, because Cori never sent me an after photo . It s hard for me not to see seltzer. Mostly because I probably drink my weight in seltzer every day. I m not sure if it s bad for me or not. But I doubt it ll stop my regular consumption. Although,. between that and the well at my house, I should probably drink some city water stat. Right?!
For Tuesday s show, we put out the question, if there was one thing you never, ever had to do again, what would it be?
JStew: Hmmmm.. I m not sure I have any totally specific things that I just hate. But, there are chores around my house that I wish would simply disappear. My wife and I try to split these things up and work together, but house work always needs to be done. Even when it s just two people. Sometimes I think it just being two people makes it worse. There s no one else to blame it on. We can t blame our lazy spouse, because we both pitch in. Does my wife do more? Probably. But I am totally voice activated, so if she asks me to do something, I absolutely get it done. But it would be nice if this big, old house would just clean itself. So yeah.. bye-bye housecleaning.

Here we are, almost exactly a year later since this all began, and sometimes it s hard to feel like we ve made any progress. In reality, we have. Although, that can always depend on who you ask. But hey. at least in a limited capacity compared to last year, there s places to go eat food, and kids are mostly in school.
One thing that also seems hard to believe at times, is that we re about to get a third round of stimulus checks from the federal government. Love or hate the concept, it is our reality. I mean, you do have the right to chuck that check in the trash when it shows up at your house, but chances are, $1400 won t inconvenience your life that much.
