Cochin Port Trust signs MoUs for developing cryogenic warehouse, aviation fuel terminal ANI | Updated: Feb 25, 2021 23:15 IST Kochi (Kerala) [India], February 25 (ANI): The Cochin Port Trust on Thursday signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with stakeholders for developing a Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ), a Cryogenic Warehouse and an Aviation Fuel Terminal as a part of Maritime India Summit 2021 . According to a statement issued by the Cochin Port Trust, to develop the FTWZ proposed at Vallarpadam, the MoU has been signed with M/s IGTPL, the operator of ICTT, Vallarpadam.

JNPT multi-product SEZ initiative will be game changer for logistics industry

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), India’s premier container port, is engaged in developing a multi-product Special Economic Zone (SEZ), an initiative under the Sagarmala program of the union government. It is built on JNPT free hold land of 277 hectares at Navi Mumbai. The work of developing the draft development proposal for the JNPT SEZ area was underway as per the laid down procedure of the Urban Development Department, government of Maharashtra. The draft development proposal was put up for objections and suggestions from the public during the period of December 3, 2020 to January 1, 2021. On January 15, a five-member committee, headed by Unmesh Sharad Wagh, IRS, Deputy Chairman, JNPT, heard out the suggestions received from M/S NSBPPL with regards to the draft DCPR. Other than this, no objections or suggestions were received on the existing land use map, proposed zone plan and report. Image Source: IANS News New Delhi, Jan 6 : Savvy Infrastructure Pvt Ltd is set to invest Rs 700 crore more in GIFT City with the development of around five projects. The Gujarat International Finance Tec (GIFT) City has allotted 10 lakh square feet built up area to Savvy Infrastructure for development of commercial, residential and social buildings in the GIFT SEZ area. Savvy will develop around five projects and invest about Rs 700 crore for this development. This will be in addition to the existing 23 storied commercial tower which consists of offices and Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) operational in GIFT SEZ area, the company said in a statement.
