Need a reason to restore your faith in humanity? This New Bedford grandma has got it covered.
Rosemary Talbot was overwhelmed with emotion after a trip to Noah’s Playground with her grandson. She and her grandson are extremely close, often ending each day with a phone call.
Her 25-year-old grandson is blind and autistic, and he adores playgrounds. Due to his condition, though, it can make social interaction a challenge – that is, until you come across a little girl with a heart of gold like Rosemary and her grandson did.

“This little girl came up to him for a high-five,” Talbot explained on Facebook as her grandson played on the swings. “She could be playing with the other kids, but she’s so happy to sit on the swings with him.”

Buttonwood Park Zoo Welcomes First Baby Sloth Born at Zoo
A human pregnancy is approximately 40 weeks, or nine months long. If you thought that seemed like forever and a day, the gestational period for a sloth is about 11 and a half months. That’s how long Sandy, Buttonwood Park Zoo’s very own female Hoffman’s two-toed sloth had to wait to meet her firstborn baby. This little one arrived on Tuesday, June 22. The 12-year-old sloth welcomed the baby with 20-year-old Bernardo, the male Hoffman’s two-toed sloth. According to Buttonwood Park Zoo, this is the first sloth born at BPZoo in its 127-year history.
