We may not be able to physically unite for
Darkness Into Light 2021, but there is one thing that unites us all - the sunrise!
You can walk, run, swim, cycle, or simply watch the sunrise. No matter how you choose to take part this year, you’ll be supporting the life-saving services of Pieta.

Thousands of people have been rallying behind campaigns to raise awareness about mental health issues on the north coast and for one local man, it has become a life passion.
Darkness Into Light 2021 - One Sunrise Together has become a hugely important initiative throughout Ireland, raising awareness about suicide and self-harm prevention, with participants making a symbolically important walk from the darkness of night into the light of the day.

Mental health has taken a serious hit over the last 14 months with job losses, loss of every day freedoms, loss of loved ones and fear of a virus, not to mention the inability to just have a coffee and a chat with a friend during what has been one of the most gruelling years the world has seen.
That’s why it’s more important than ever to support charities such as Pieta House during the annual Darkness Into Light event, which is going virtual this year, which means people are encouraged to participate by themselves instead of a large gathering.

The people of Louth are being encouraged to share ‘One Sunrise Together’ for the social distanced Darkness into Light event to raise much needed funds for Pieta.
The annual Darkness into Light is going socially distanced due to Covid-19 restrictions and needs people s support more than ever this year.
The people of Dundalk and Louth are being callled on to get their runners on and rise early on saturday May 8th to walk, run, swim, hike or bike 5km for Pieta.
