Meet the candidates: Sussex School board elections 2021
Cape Henlopen, Delmar, Laurel and Woodbridge all have contested races.
Indian River has no expiring school board member terms this year and will not hold an election, while Milford and Seaford will automatically elect new members who are running unopposed.
In Milford, Adam Brownstein and Scott L. Fitzgerald will join the school board. Brownstein will serve a five-year term for District C. Fitzgerald was appointed in January after Judith Purcell resigned due to a move. With no one else filing for the seat, he ll finish serving a one-year term for District D.
In Seaford, Kimberly Hopkins is running unopposed for the at-large seat and will serve a five-year term.

She is a student in the Health Careers Program. She is from the Canton Central School District and is the daughter of Heather Perkins and James Duvall.
Health Careers is a two-year program that provides students with the foundation needed to pursue a career in the health care field. Basic entry level skills are learned through theory and also in the lab setting for a variety of health occupations. Students have the opportunity to apply the skills they have learned in the lab when attending supervised clinical in a long-term care setting. Hailee has spent her junior and senior year learning about work ethic, body structure and function, health and wellness, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, how to measure vital signs along with spending time in the lab practicing the skills necessary to provide patient care in t

BOSTON Representative Antonio Cabral secured some significant funding for New Bedford as the House unanimously passed its proposed $47.72 billion FY2022 budget on Thursday, and also saw the House unanimously pass his proposal to require the state’s sheriffs to report the finances of their agreements with ICE.
The language passed by the House requires the state’s county sheriffs and the Department of Corrections to report the costs, reimbursements, and expenses associated with their agreements with US Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) every quarter beginning in October 2021.
“I have been fighting this fight because I believe deputizing prison officials to act as federal immigration agents is bad public policy,” Rep.
