Oil 4 Wales staff have been working around the clock to deliver essential oil and fuel supplies across the country A CARMARTHENSHIRE based fuel supplier has donated thousands of litres of oil to vulnerable members of the community. A delivery donation has been made to The Carers Trust Crossroads which will specifically benefit an elderly husband and his wife, acting as his carer throughout the pandemic. The South-West Wales charity which provides support to carers by giving them “time” to be themselves believes that access to funding and information is vital in helping them manage the impact of caring on their lives – and this is exactly why Oil 4 Wales remains devoted to reducing the number of households in fuel poverty through its donations and planned delivery services across the country.

HMC introduces Learning Disability Service  19 Jan 2021 - 12:38 The Peninsula Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Mental Health Service (MHS) introduced a new Learning Disability Service (LDS) to provide specialist assessment and treatment options for adults with a Learning Disability (LD) presenting with a mental health condition, who exhibit severely challenging behaviour. The specialist LD Service was piloted in early 2020 but due to COVID-19 restrictions regarding patient visits the service was enhanced in December 2020. The service has now been formally launched to support the expansion in mental health service provisions, with a new multidisciplinary team offering outpatients clinics, community outreach services and consultation liaison services with other health service provisions.

Pioneer Ridge Health and Rehab resident Janet Rusk receives a COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 29, 2020. Staff members and residents at Pioneer Ridge Health & Rehab were given the option to receive a COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday, according to the skilled nursing facility. Walgreens administered the Pfizer vaccine at Pioneer Ridge Health & Rehab, 4851 Harvard Road, to staff and residents of the facility’s skilled nursing and rapid recovery units, a news release from the organization said. “We feel so fortunate to be offering the vaccine to our residents and staff,” Ann Bell, Pioneer Ridge Health & Rehab administrator, said in the release. “We cannot thank Walgreens and the CDC enough for prioritizing our community and senior living communities across the country.”
