Operators of the Highland Wildlife Park has received a £1.9m investment from the The National Lottery Heritage Fund to support the creation of their new visitor centre.
Plans to create a “world-class” visitor experience at the Highland Wildlife Park have been given a huge boost.
The team at the Kincraig-based attraction revealed their vision to create Scotland’s Wildlife Discovery Centre earlier this year and set up a Crowdfunder to help.
But now the National Lottery has awarded the park £1.9million funding.
The visitor experience will be a learning gateway to the Cairngorms, connecting people with nature and enabling visitors and local communities to protect endangered species.

A crowdfunding campaign is launching today to help build a new £5.5 million visitor and education centre at the Highland Wildlife Park.
It is hoped £50,000 can be raised towards creating Scotland’s Wildlife Discovery Centre at the Kincraig attraction which will be a learning ‘gateway’ to the Cairngorms, helping people to connect with and protect the environment as well as endangered species.
From 5am today people can enter a prize draw, with one lucky supporter set to ‘win the keys’ to the park and feed the animals, including polar bears, tigers and snow leopards.
