ZANESVILLE - The Kiwanis Club of Zanesville recently celebrated its 100th anniversary.
The club was presented with a charter in a special ceremony on May 27, 1921, in the ballroom of the Masonic Temple. Exactly 100 years later on the same date in the same location, the club rededicated itself to “changing the world one child and one community at a time.”
More than 75 Kiwanians and special guests attended the ceremony. Ohio District Governor Jamie Kaufman of Toledo praised the club for its long history of community service before re-presenting the club with its original century-old charter. It was recently restored and reframed.
