Premium Content Subscriber only POLICE from Ipswich s Tactical Crime Squad seized drugs including 1.5kg of marijuana brownies and 1.2kg of marijuana butter during a raid at Redbank Plains. The June 5 raid resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old man, who was later charged with a range of offences. It will be alleged police also found a large quantity of marijuana plants, jars of the drug, and cannabis seeds. Drug utensils were also located and seized from the address. The man was charged with producing marijuana, possessing marijuana, possessing drug utensils and possessing things for use in an offence. He will appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court.

It will be alleged around 8.30am Saturday (June 5) he assaulted a woman traveling in the same vehicle on Powells Road in Yamanto and proceeded to drive dangerously along Ipswich Boonah Road in Purga. Police will further allege he failed to stop for police when they activated lights and sirens and began overtaking other vehicles on double white lines at high speed. Multiple drivers were forced to take evasive action, as the car was alleged to have been driven through red lights and on the wrong side of the road.

Woman allegedly restrained, beaten in torture ordeal

Premium Content Subscriber only Torture charges have been laid against two women who allegedly unleashed multiple assaults on another woman while holding her captive during an ordeal lasting several hours. The victim, 27, was allegedly subjected to numerous beatings at multiple addresses across the Goodna area on June 6. Police will allege that the woman was first ambushed by several people mid Sunday morning while she was at a house in Saint Albans Street, Goodna.
