Dangerous driving and assault occasioning bodily harm at Ipswich
Police have charged a 27-year-old man with nine serious offences after he allegedly drove a silver SUV dangerously through the Ipswich District.
It will be alleged around 8.30am Saturday (June 5) he assaulted a woman traveling in the same vehicle on Powells Road in Yamanto and proceeded to drive dangerously along Ipswich Boonah Road in Purga.
Police will further allege he failed to stop for police when they activated lights and sirens and began overtaking other vehicles on double white lines at high speed.
Multiple drivers were forced to take evasive action, as the car was alleged to have been driven through red lights and on the wrong side of the road.
