That man, Abdolvahab Abdi Alaghmandan, 63, was an essential worker at a Valley Transportation Authority light rail yard in San Jose, Calif. I was just always so worried about him getting COVID, says Staker, 37. Alaghmandan, 63, avoided contracting the virus but he died at work on Wednesday when he was one of nine people killed at the light rail yard. The shooter, a fellow VTA employee, took his own life when police responded to the scene.

Dialysis unit inaugurated at PEBS Eye and General Hospital Karachi April 25, 2021 The Pakistan Eye Bank Society (PEBS) Eye and General Hospital near Nagan Chowrangi inaugurated its dialysis unit on Saturday. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, PEBS Medical Director Dr Qazi Wasiq shared that before the 1970s, there was no corneal transplant facility in Pakistan. He added that a few philanthropists, doctors and civil society activists launched a movement for this, “after which corneal transplant started in the country”. Under the directions of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole, a team of doctors and experts shall remain available for the general public through various toll free numbers and mobile phones from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm to provide counselling to people for their strong mental and physical health. The counselling is one among the measures taken to enhance and boost the motivation of people to remain both mentally and physically healthy and shall enhance the motivation and positivity among the people particularly Covid- affected persons during the home isolation period.
