UET, University of Agriculture sign MoU Peshawar February 12, 2021 PESHAWAR: The University of Engineering and Technology and the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, inked a memorandum of understanding in order to work together for the mutual benefits in the field of “Artificial Intelligence intervention in Smart Environment and its impact on human and crop health and other fields in future.” The MoU was signed by Dr Gul Muhammad, director National Centre for Artificial Intelligence (NCAI) and Dr Anwar Ali Shad, Chairman Agriculture Chemistry Department, Agriculture University, Peshawar. ANP announces full support to ‘long march’ on Islamabad National February 11, 2021 PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced to fully support the opposition parties’ ‘Long March’ to Islamabad on March 26 and field joint candidates for the upcoming Senate elections. The Pakhtun nationalist party in its central executive council meeting on Wednesday also opposed the presidential ordinance for an open ballot for the Senate polls on the ground that the government had adopted an unconstitutional and apolitical approach towards such an important legislation. PPI QUETTA: The Awami National Party (ANP) has warned the Balochistan government that it would launch a countrywide protest if the party’s provincial information secretary, Asad Khan Achakzai, is not recovered immediately. Asad Achakzai has been missing since October. He was travelling from the border town of Chaman to Quetta when unidentified people reportedly kidnapped him. Some ANP leaders and a large number of party workers staged a protest demonstration here on Friday during which they demanded immediate recovery of the ANP leader. The protesters marched on different roads of the city and later gathered at Bacha Khan Chowk where party leaders, including senior vice president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, general secretary Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Balochistan provincial president Asghar Khan Achakzai, engineer Zamarak Khan Piralizai and others spoke at length.
